Envision Edgehill Apartments Master Plan

The Challenge

Though surrounding areas in Nashville, Tennessee, had seen significant development, the Edgehill Apartments and surrounding area remained unchanged. This 32-acre public housing site was in need of a revitalization to improve the residents' living conditions, align the community with the surrounding area, and renew a sense of place within this rapidly developing part of town.

The Solution

A community-supported master plan was developed to revitalize the site, incorporating new housing, green spaces, amenities, and commercial areas. The plan focused on resident input, accessibility, safety, and a sense of community.

The Result

The Envision Edgehill Apartments phased 20-year master plan provides a roadmap for the revitalization of the site, addressing community needs, increasing safety, and creating a more livable, walkable, and accessible neighborhood. It includes plans for new housing, green spaces, amenities, and improved infrastructure while honoring the area’s history.
