Lithonia Lighting Corporate Campus

Landscape Architecture
The Challenge
Lithonia Lighting was building a new, 50-acre headquarters in Conyers, Georgia, on a 114,000-square-foot site. The plans called for three buildings situated around a lake. The existing space was flat and lacked vegetation, but the client desired a park-like setting with rolling hills, pathways, and gardens, that would incorporate natural beauty within their corporate campus.
The Solution
Barge Design Solutions, along with MacGregor Architects and Duke Weeks Construction, collaborated with the client to design an outdoor space that contained over one-half mile of sidewalks and walking trails. In addition, the team reshaped the land to create berms, valleys, and a natural water feature with numerous waterfalls and paved seating areas for pedestrian traffic near the lake.
The Result
The Barge team expertly designed sustainable outdoor spaces in a colorful, aesthetic, and inspiring campus setting that is able to be enjoyed by both employees and visitors alike.
